I remember looking at pictures from vacation in complete disbelief. Asking myself, “when did that happen?”

So there I was, firmly in my 40’s. I had gained 20lbs and nothing in my closet fit. I avoided going out with friends because I had zero self-confidence. Instead, I would stay home and binge watch my favorite shows and get lost in a box of Cheez-its…ugh.

I loved my work but even that became a challenge when I started having joint pain in my hands – which is a definite issue as a massage therapist.

I was completely out-of-sorts and didn’t know what was happening to me. Who was this chick in the mirror with thinning hair and bags under her eyes?

Like WTH?! What is this place? Who are you? And how do I find…ME, again?!!

So, I started reading up on perimenopause. 

Sure, I’d heard a lot of horror stories of peri / menopause; the hot flashes, mood swings, irregular periods, brain fog…but seriously?

If this was the start of menopause, I didn’t want any part of  it!

I mean, it’s got to happen, I get it. But I refused to believe it had to be some miserable experience.

I was determined to figure out what to do to “fix” this.

I worked out like crazy, tried all kinds of diets, and kept doing my research and exploring different alternatives – lots of them. It was definitely a process! Gradually, I found the missing pieces of the puzzle & it all started to make sense.

With the right, small & simple steps I finally felt like myself again. I lost all the weight, I was back to enjoying my work again and hanging out with friends. I had my confidence back, I felt sexy in my clothes and it was amazing!!

The beauty of all of this is that years later, I’m still thriving and feeling fantastic! I enjoy traveling with my husband, hiking, riding our bikes, & kayaking, just being active! And yes, still working- painfree, although that is changing…

Years ago I made a commitment to myself  to successfully navigate this path and it’s the same commitment I make to my clients now, as a health coach. 

This journey has taught me so much and I now want to share that knowledge.

Our next years should be the best!  I am here for it – for you! To encourage, inspire and empower you to do just that.
